Cascade Design Associates assists you with defining your goals, budget and schedule. We will arrange a free consultation to discuss your ideas. We will listen and talk about building codes, zoning requirements, design & construction ideas and estimate how much it will cost.

Design

When you are ready to proceed…we will prepare drawings and documents that define your project. If necessary, we will come to your home and take detailed measurements of your existing conditions and collect other information required for your drawings.

Once your drawings are prepared we will get together and review the details to make sure you are getting what you want! Cascade Design will make changes as directed. Finally, …your plans will be completed to get required permits and accurate bids from contractors.

Cascade Design will send you a written Proposal/Agreement based on the project goals discussed in our initial meeting. Field investigation (if required), Concept Design cost, Permit Design Cost, Engineering and other relevant items will be identified. A deposit, usually 50%, is required to proceed with your project scheduling and the getting started.

Preliminary design that defines the project goals. Consists of floor plan(s), exterior elevations and other details that define major project elements. Changes and modifications can be made a lower costs & effort. Owner must approve before moving to Permit Documents. You can cancel the work during this phase at any time and we will only bill for hours actually spent.

Final payment due.

Permit documents can be submitted by either you or by your contractor to your Planning jurisdiction. Permit documents can also be used to solicit bids from contractors. Some clients use concept design plans to start the contractor search process too.
